WHAT DOES PLANET REVIVAL CHURCH BELIEVE?

Our beliefs shape and fuel our mission to help people become fully devoted followers of Christ. Here’s what we believe as a church.

OUR BELIEFS

  • The Bible's human authors wrote under the Holy Spirit's supernatural direction. As God's inspired word, it stands as the ultimate authority and source of truth for Christian faith and practice, entirely reliable and without error.

    “ All Scripture is God-Breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness.” —2 Timothy 3:16

    “ The word of God is active and alive.” —Hebrews 4:12

  • We believe there is one God who is the creator and ruler of the universe. —Gen. 1:1. We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. —Matthew 28:19, 2 Corinthians 13:14

  • We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God, fully God and fully man, who died for our sins and rose again. —John 1:1. Jesus lived without sin and sacrificed himself on the cross to atone for humanity's sins. He rose from the dead three days later, demonstrating victory over sin and death. He ascended to heaven and will return to earth as King. 1 Corinthians 15:3-4

  • We believe salvation is a gift of God received by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, not by works. —Ephesians 2:8-9. Self-improvement and good works cannot atone for sin. Only faith in Jesus Christ as God's forgiveness saves us.—Romans 10:13

  • The Holy Spirit is coequal with God the Father and Jesus Christ. He works in the world to reveal people's need for Christ, to empower believers to live faithfully, to impart spiritual understanding, and to guide believers toward righteousness. Each Christian receives spiritual gifts from the Holy Spirit upon salvation and is called to yield to His daily guidance.—Acts 1:8, 1 Corinthians 12:7

  • We believe the Church is the body of Christ, called to worship God, build believers, and reach the world. —1 Corinthians 12:27, Acts 2:42

  • Baptism is a public declaration of commitment to Christ and an act of obedience following Jesus's example and God's command.—Romans 6:4, Galatians 3:27

  • We believe Jesus Christ will return in power and glory. —Acts 1:11, 1 Thessalonians 4:16

  • We believe that God designed marriage as a covenantal bond between one man and one woman in a lifelong commitment, and God’s intent for sexual expression is to occur only in the covenant of marriage. —Genesis 2:24, Matthew 19:6
